Believe it or not I am actually keeping up to date with my blog today and posting something on the day that it occured. I figured that this week is going to be a busy week with an egg hunt tomorrow and Friday and then of course Easter this weekend. I didn't want to get to far behind.

We went to a festival today that Addison's school was invited to. It was put on by Zaxbys and for a few dollars we were able to eat whatever we wanted and play games. The only thing that cost extra was A Zaxbys sandwich...which Addison won!

First Black Eye

This is not a great picture of her black eye, but it is the only picture that I have. She hit herself in the eye with the corner of a hard back book. I kept calling it a black eye, but she kept calling it a "pink eye" since that it the color it looked to her.

Addison and I took a short trip to Disney World last week. A good friend of mine was running in the Princess Half Marathon and she invited us to go along. We had a great time. Addison and I went to Disney World last April and Addison has been talking about it ever since. Although she has no problems with any of the rides, her favorite part is seeing the characters.

Busy Day

Tuesday is Addison's day off school so we usually spend the day together and I let Addison decide what she wants to do. Well, today was full of errands and appointments. We started the day with someone coming to look at our house then Addison had a dentist appt. It went alright I guess. She didn't want to sit in the chair so she sat in my lap and then she didn't want the hygentist to brush her teeth, but flossing was fine. We then went to Addison's choice for lunch...Chick-l-a as she would say. Then we had to run home and get one of our cats for a vet appt. We took her and got the car washed then ran home dropped off the cat and changed for gymnastics. We then went to gymnastics, ran to the grocery store, and then Addison wanted pizza for dinner and I gave in since Tuesday is $5 pizza day. Here are a few pics from the day.

Circus

Today we went to the circus. This was the first time that Addison had been to the circus and she was so excited. I think that her favorite part was the elephants and tigers. We went to the circus the day after the zebra was found wondering on the downtown freeway in rush hour traffic. Addison thought that that was funny that an animal got "out of the circus." Addison had a great time at the circus and continues to talk about it. She was so excited that her friends Bryce, Reece, Lucy, Bowen, Jayce, and Redden were able to come with us. We went to Steak-n-Shake after to have lunch.

Bed Time

Sorry that it has been so long since I have posted. It was the holidays and then just being lazy and then my mom broke her leg and had to have surgery so I have been tied up with that as well. I hope that you all had a great holiday! Addison of course did...those pictures to follow.

We always spend Christmas in Atlanta. Christmas Day is at my mom's house. As you can see from these pictures Addison had a great time. In fact, she was so tired of opening presents that she said that she was tired of opening before they were all open. I think that I went a little overboard, but oh well. It was worth it.

We spend Christmas Eve every year with my dad. I was afraid this year that I might not be able to be there as I was on call all night at work, but luckily I did not get called in. We had a great time eating dinner and opening presents.

Best friends

Sleepover

This is Addison with Bryce and Reece. My friend, Christy, has been married 10 yrs tonight. Her and her husband spent the weekend away, so Addison and I went over to babysit for the night. We also babysat her son who is 4 months old, but he was already in bed at this point.

Gingerbread House

We decided to take some time to make this gingerbread house today. I put the icing on and then let Addison do as she desired to decorate it. I think that she did pretty well and she had the best time doing it!

Early Christmas

Tonight we went over to my friend, Kristine's house, for an early Christmas. Kristine is also my co-worker as well as my babysitter. Her mother also babysits from time and time. They both love Addison as one of their own and consider themselves part of our family. We had a great time and Addison did not want to leave.

Happy Birthday Josie

Today we went to my cousins daughter's 4th birthday party. She had the party at her house and it was Ariel, little mermaid, themed. Ariel is Addison's favorite princess so she absolutely loved it and had a great time!

Cookie Party

Every year all my co-workers get together and we all bring homemade cookies and we meet and make huge baskets of cookies for the docotrs and other departements that we work with. We also reveal our secret santa's to each other and play white elephant. It is always a fun time. Addison and I walked down to the huge Christmas tree that the hospital puts up and took a few pictures. Here are a few of them.

Athens Parade

Addison was invited to be part of the Athens Christmas Parade with her dance class. She agreed to it even though I don't think that she had any idea what a parade actually was. We got there and she had just fallen asleep, so it was not very fun at all as we were standing in the "freezing cold", as she said, and she was not so happy. But, as the parade started she realized that it was going to be fun. She had a opportunity to ride the float, but when it was all said and done she walked the entire parade.
