This weekend Addison brought Mr. Froggie home from school. He went everywhere with us. Of course, I had to work this weekend, but he went to the ballet recital with us on Friday and then out to eat on Saturday. He then went to my mom's house Saturday afternoon and then back this afternoon. He has had a great weekend and will be going back to school in the morning.

Christmas Recital

Tonight was Addison's Christmas recital. Her class has only a few children in it, but they still had a great time. They were the first on stage and were the Festival of Lights. They did a great job and had a great time.

We had Thanksgiving at my mom's house and it was basically a family reunion on my mom's side of the family. We had a great time and Addison got to play with Anna and Josie my cousins children.

School Thanksgiving Feast

Today was Addison's Thanksgiving Feast at school. They sang a few really cute songs and then we all brought food and Addison had a blast.

Early Thanksgiving

We went to a friends house the week before Thanksgiving for a get together and all took a dish. The food and company was great. This is Addison and her friend Lucy.

Addison has to take snack to school once a week and this is the container that she has to take it in. She loves to be the snack helper.

Athens Christmas Parade

Tonight was the Athens Christmas Parade. We walked with the float for the Church where Addison attends Awana on Wed nights. We had a great time. There was a band on the float that played "Jingle Bell Rock" and I think that Addison sang that song all day the next day. She had a great time once she decided she wanted to get on the float and she waved to everyone. She keeps asking if we can go back again.

Hello all. Long time no blog. Sorry that it has been so long since I have blogged, actually over 2 months. Time just seems to get away from me with everything that we have going on. Soccer is over so that is one less thing that we have to do, but we still have ballet and gymnastics. Of course, onyl 54 days until Christmas, so still have lots to do in those 54 days.

Anyway, here are a few pictures from our trick-or-treating. We went with a good friend of mine whos daughter is also a friend of Addison's. Addison had a great time and we were in the neighboorhood behind the hospital so we stopped by.

My friend Julie invited Addison and I to her daughters fall festival tonight. We went and Addison had a great time. She played games and of course got candy after each game that she played and then we got popcorn and slushes and jumped in the bounce house. She had a great time!!

Tonight was Addison's last soccer game. She had a great time this year although it took most of the year to get her into it. She still wasn't all about getting in there and stealing the ball from others, but then again it was her first year and she is the youngest, so we'll see how it goes in the fall.

Addison had her first official haircut this past week. I say that because typically I just give her a quick trim when she needs it, but this past week a new hair studio opened up in Athens. It is called Kidsdooz and it has dress up clothes, a huge playhouse, video games, movies, and TV to watch as you sit in a car or airplane or whatever you pick. Addison loved it because her friend Lucy met us there. They played dress up first and then got haircuts. Addison did great and she picked a pink airplane to sit in and watch Dora as they cut her hair. Addison's hair is typically curly as you can see in the top picture and they blew dried her hair with a round brush which made it straight and she loves it that way so when we have time, that is how she wears her hair now!

Bogart is the town next to Athens, where my friend Julie and her family live. We joined them today at the fall festival in town. Bought a couple things at the booths and then let Addison play on the jumpy house and slides. She had a great time and we saw many people that we new. Addison's favorite part was the parade and the candy that they threw out as they passed by.

Soccer

We added soccer to Addison's list of activities this year. Yesterday was our first practice and Addison had a great time. Her good friend, Lucy, is on her team and her parents are coaching the team. Of course this adds soccer to our list of things to do on Mondays, so we now have a really busy Monday with school all day and then ballet and soccer.

Ballet

We started ballet last week, but of course I forgot my camera. This is a picture from after ballet class yesterday while sitting at Zaxby's. We had about 45 minutes to grab a bit to eat between ballet and soccer practice. Addison had such a great time last year at ballet that she wanted to do it again this year. And the recital was so cute that I cannot wait to see it again.

Happy 1st Birthday Whit!

Today we went to my friend Christy's house to celebrate her son's 1st birthday. Whit is her 3rd child and Addison is good friends with her daughter, Reece. We were afraid that the party would not even happen since she had rented a bounce house and it rained all day Saturday until about 3pm...luckily the party was at 5pm so it was nice and muggy and hot in time for the party. Addison had a great time playing with Reece and the other kids. Of course we stayed until late and the kids were still playing on the bounce house, so I put Reece and Addison in the bath before we left because it is a good 30 minute drive home and I knew that Addison would fall asleep in the car.

Addison started Pre-K today. She has gone to part-time daycare this past year, so she knows about school, but she has not gone for the past month, so she has been saying that she didn't want to go back to school, so I was a little worried. But, this week she has been excited about it. We went to open house yesterday and she was really excited about going today. Well, 7am came really early for someone who is used to sleeping in and getting up around 9am. She did good though and was happy. She wanted me to walk her into school though this morning instead of going through the carpool line, so of course I did. She walked right in, put her bookbag in her cubby, but then did not want me to leave. One of her teachers came over and she went right to her, so I left. I think that she did better then me though...I shed a few tears in the car. I cannot wait until 2:45 so I can see how her day was.

Eli, Emma, Blake, Bryce, Addison, Lydia, Gracie, & Reece...this time we took the picture on our way into the waterpark instead of on our way out.

Today we went to the aquatic center in Gainesville. This is the second time that we have been and we plan to go again next week before school starts. I wish that we had found this park before the end of the summer and we probably would have gone every week. Addison loves it and it is about the only way that I can handle being outside in this heat. We went with my friend Christy and her kids again, but took a few others as well.

Today we went to Atlanta and met my mom and my brothers and took my mom out to eat for her birthday.

Princess Tea Party

Tonight we went to Chick-fil-a to the Princess Tea Party. It was fun for the girls, but they did not plan for the number of people that came. They were able to decorate tea cups and see a number of "Princess" from around Athens, including Miss University of Georgia. They had a great time!

We spent today going to the waterpark with my friend Christy and her 2 kids and their cousin. We had a great time. This is a waterpark in Gainesville and it is absolutely wonderful. It is inexpensive and a great way to spend the day. The kids had a wonderful time and we plan to go back once a week for the next few weeks until school starts. Addison is so excited. And please excuse the last picture...what 5 kids look like after playing all day in the sun and water!
